Part 1: God Revealed

KALEIDOSCOPE OF THE CROSS God Revealed 3.9.25 Since the beginning of human history, the primary question humanity has asked is: What is God really like? John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. The clearest image of God—the fullness of who God is and the pinnacle of His self-revelation—is the crucified Christ. Romans 5:6-8 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. When we look at Jesus, we see not just a new way of being human, but the full revelation of who God has always been. The cross is where God’s justice and mercy meet, where love and power are redefined forever. - N.T. Wright
