Surrender my dream
NEVERTHELESS Surrender my Dream 3.26.23 Luke 22:42 Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done. On the road between our dream and the destination, we will face our garden moments where we will choose between our will and surrender. Surrender is about learning to say YES to God where we are, not where we want to be. 1 Samuel 22:1-2 David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there. 2 All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him.

"Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done." (Luke 22:42 ESV) Gethsemane represents a place of surrender in the life of Jesus. It is the death before the death. It was in the garden where we see the reality of his struggle and how he prayed for deliverance and yet submitted himself to the will of the Father.
