God's Grace in Limits

Summer of Soul God’s Grace in Limits 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 7 even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. 8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Limits are a door: 1. Humility 2. Communion with Jesus 3. Revelation of Jesus 4. Direction 5. Mission How do you see limits in your life? What are you going to do? We live in a culture of power and winning, a culture of power, and a culture of knowledge. (The result) We very often leave behind those who are weaker. The cry for help that springs up from the heart of a fragile person give him or her a secret power that can open many a closed heart. – Jean Vanier There is no place I would rather be There is nothing I would rather do There is no one I would rather be with This I remember well – Albert Portman
