Our Story.
In November 2008 a small team of individuals gathered together and began to dream about a church. This church would have a passion for developing deep followers of Jesus Christ and it would be fueled by a desire to love the people of their city. In May 2009 this team began gathering monthly in homes to grow in their relationship with Christ and to serve their city. It was from this dream that CityChurch emerged. Now located in the Brookside area of Midtown Tulsa this team and church is committed to helping people take the next step on their spiritual journey.

Our Beliefs
// Trinity
God is three in one. He exists as one being in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While all three persons have different roles, they each possess equal power and authority. The trinity works together in complete unity and is the perfect example of a team.
// God
God is our father, creator, and ruler of the universe. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful. He has never lied or broken any of his promises. He is all-powerful and all knowing. He is holy. And most importantly, he wants to have a relationship with us.
// Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He left heaven and came to this earth in order to restore our broken relationship with God. He lived the ultimate selfless life by committing no sin and offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins by dying on the cross. After three days, he rose again to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He then ascended back into heaven and will return again to reign as Lord over all.
// Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. He is always present with us in this world in order to make us aware of our need for Christ. He convicts us of our sins, provides us with power to overcome evil, gives us wisdom, and comforts us in times of need.
// Humanity
Humanity is made in the image of God and was designed to fellowship with him. However, due to our sins, we have been separated from God. In order to reestablish our relationship with God, we need Jesus. We cannot regain a right relationship with God on our own, only by putting our faith in Jesus.
// Salvation
We are saved the moment we ask Christ into our lives. He forgives us of our sins, allowing us to reestablish a right relationship with God. We cannot gain salvation through our own good works, but only by trusting in Jesus Christ.
// Return
Jesus Christ will return for those who have received salvation by placing their faith in him. No one knows the day or the hour of his return.
// Eternity
We are eternal beings. When we die, we will either spend eternity in heaven or hell. Eternity in heaven is granted through Jesus Christ, while without salvation, our sin eternally separates us from God in hell.
// Bible
The Bible is God’s word to us. The Holy Scriptures were written by human authors who were inspired by God himself. The Bible contains no errors and is the supreme source of truth for all believers. It is still as relevant today as when it was first written.
// Church
The church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. These followers are committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying his commands, and to taking the gospel message to the rest of the world. The church works together in unity and love as a representation of Jesus to our world.
